Most recently Verona was appointed Vocal Director for the BBC 1 Drama 'Age Before Beauty' which first aired in August 2018. 

A new CD is in development with pianist and composer John Horler.

Verona has written and presented programmes for UK Jazz Radio and is currently a 'What's On' compiler for the Ealing Talking Newspaper for the visually impaired. 

Further presenting includes comedy newsreader on 'If It's In The Press It's Got To Be True' written by David Eade plus numerous voice overs.

In addition to her jazz singing career Verona performs as an actor and also as a tribute performer as Sybil in the style of 'Fawlty Towers'.

In 2012 she was the judges expert on X Factor, Poland for celebrity Tatiana Okupnik and also performed and taught at the Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory. 

In 2010 Verona released her crossover jazz concept album 'Fever, in Love with Shakespeare'  and in the same year married her long term partner the actor, director and voice over artist Andrew Fettes.

Verona is about to take up a new post as head of singing at the Brighton Institute of Contemporary Theatre Training in addition to her work as a visiting professional singing teacher at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (BA Hons - Musical Theatre) and Arts's Educational School (MA Acting).  

Prior to this she has taught singing at the London Studio Centre, London School of Music Theatre, The Method Studio, London, Perform and Stagecoach, Uxbridge.

Verona is a former manager and events manager at the Ealing Chamber of Commerce a branch of the London Chamber of Commerce.

Verona is a co-director of the Martha Philbey theatrical and entertainment agency.

She is a committee member at the Club for Acts and Actors and former jazz committee member at the Musician's Union until that section was suddenly disbanded.

In addition to the above she founded the Musical Balloon Band in 2013 which was mentored by the Nottingham Theatre Royal and Concert Halls 'Beanbag Music' team.

About Us


Verona was born in Bristol and raised in Bath, Somerset. She trained in at Trinity Laban and Music Theatre at the Royal Academy of Music and has participated in workshops at Morely College and Jazz School UK. In her youth she was a member of the Jane Lilley Singers.
